Hi friends! I'm in need of your suggestions!
We scheduled Babycakes' baptism. It's on a spring Sunday at 1:30pm. I thought we'd just have everyone back to our place after since we're less than a block from the church, but I think our place is too small to comfortably hold who we plan to invite.
Any suggestions on where we can do a late luncheon afterwards? (I'm talking to you Chicago friends!) I have calls out to Sola, Mrs. Murphy & Son's Irish Bistro and Uncommon Ground. You can see I'm sticking to the 'hood rather than heading downtown. What am I missing?
I also need ideas on where to get his baptismal outfit. My MIL wanted us to take the gown that the hubs wore. But it was first his sister's, then he wore it and then his bro did. We felt it was a little too frilly (feminine!) and frankly, we're not into the traditional gowns. Pretty sure the MIL was upset. Oh well.
On a completely unrelated note, are spam comments on your blogs completely out of control these days? I get TONS! And then I inadvertently delete a legit comment on a post. (Sorry Johanna!)
Happy Wednesday!

My sister did St Alphonsus and walk to Schubas. We were upstairs and they did a great job.
I found my daughter's gown on Amazon! I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I didn't like what I saw in stores. I took a chance and we loved it!
I attended a baptism last year, this little boy had a very cute outfit and I was surprised to hear they got it at Amazon too!
Southport Lanes and Billiards. Baptism, bowling, billiards and beer! haha
We bought ours from Nordstroms. Can't go wrong.
Fun times. Sucks that your MIL may h ave been a little mad about you guys not wanting to use that outfit but maybe it's time for something new. And, not so frilly haha.
